Flumen labs

Bio-materials and Regenerative Innovation

Flumen is a trans-disciplinary research collective founded in January 2025, exploring speculative design proposals in the service of planetary abundance and multi-species flourishing.

Our members have a diversity of experience in artistic practice, architecture, marine biology, bio-materials, creative technology, digital product design and ecology. We are based within the watershed of the river Otra, reaching from Kristiansand to the mountains of Setesdal, in Southern Norway.

We have active links to University in Agder, and University of the Arts, London.
